Als ich am 11.3.2020 eine Stadtarchivarin in Rheinland Pfalz verkabelte, hatte ich mir vorher die Hände desinfiziert, das Kabel am Mikrofon desinfiziert, den Sender mit Alkohol abgerieben – und alles getan, was ich selbst in der Situation für angemessen hielt. Trotzdem schwitzte ich und war verunsichert über das, was nach Medienberichten auf uns zukam und „Corona“ genannt wurde.

Dieser Drehtermin war für mich der letzte für einen längeren Zeitraum.

Mittlerweile gibt es Diskussionen und Leitfäden über den Umgang mit Covid-19 in der Filmbranche. Diese Leitfäden sind verbindlich und sollen für alle Beschäftigten und Teammitglieder Sicherheit schaffen. Über die allgemeinen Hygieneregeln (Abstand – Hygiene – Alltagsmaske – Lüften) hinaus ist insbesondere das strikte Personalisieren von Miniaturmikrofonen und ihrem Zubehör für uns Tonleute selbst­ver­ständ­lich. Auf den meisten Sets werden inzwischen FFP2 Masken getragen, verantwortungsvolle Produzent*innen lassen die Team­mit­glieder (in längeren Projekten) regelmäßig auf eine mögliche Infektion mit Covid-19 testen. Die Anmietung zusätzlicher Autos (bzw. die Übernahme der Kosten dafür) ist für die meisten Firmen ein Selbst­ver­ständ­lichkeit. Ich begrüße das. Ohne diese Regelungen stünde unsere Branche komplett still, alle säßen auf dem Sofa.

Meanwhile there are discussions and guidelines about how to deal with Covid-19 in the film industry. These guidelines are binding and are intended to provide security for all employees and team members. In addition to the general hygiene rules (distance – hygiene – everyday masks – ventilation), the strict personalisation of miniature micro­phones and their accessories is a matter of principle for every sound engineer. FFP2 masks are now worn on most sets. Responsibly-minded producers regularly have their team members tested for potential infection with Covid-19. Renting additional cars (or paying for them) is a matter of course for most companies. I welcome this. Without these regulations our industry might stand still completely, everyone would be sitting on the sofa.
